Mortality Assessment
Technology (MAT) is a mathematical algorithm that classifies mortality
risk and automates data analysis. Using a unique holistic view of
mortality risk, our patented technology “Synthesis AnalysisTM” enables
life insurance professionals to better classify an individual's
mortality into standard, preferred, and super-preferred categories more
confidently.
MAT’s Synthesis AnalysisTM has been developed over the equivalent of 50
man-years. MAT has been validated in
several blinded retrospective studies, the largest comprised of 311,535
underwritten and issued life insurance policies. MAT results differed
from about half of the classifications produced using conventional
underwriting methods and was materially more accurate and highly
correlated with actual mortality experience.
